I was expecting Putrefaction to be horrible.

Which is why, despite owning this game since 2016, I’ve put off playing it. But I finally bit the bullet today, and you know what? For a game that’s C$1.29, it’s okay.

There are definitely better FPS games out there. But I also understand what this is.

Putrefaction is silly and mindless. It’s for people that don’t want to spend much money, want graphics that are okay, and want to start shooting stuff right away.

If this game were selling for C$80 it’s would be atrocious. Even if it were C$5, I’d say it was a rip-off. But C$4.29? I’d say it’s worth it.

Putrefaction is for people who’ve bought a bottom of the barrel laptop with a terrible CPU who just want to do casual gaming. They go onto Steam, search for a $1 game, and hope for an FPS. Then they arrive at this one. And it scratches that itch.

I’ve bought most of Kazakov Oleg’s games. They’re all right. I’m never angry when I get one. But neither are they life-changing experiences.

And you know what? That’s all right.
