right, time for a game of What's In The Box?
I did a big LCSC order of random bits that were on offer back in 2022, and then promptly forgot I owned any of this stuff, as I often do.
let's see what's in here.

first up, three Alps Alpine EC20A1820407 rotary encoders.

these are *very* satisfyingly clicky. Alps Alpine make some great stuff. at some point I wanna use these for a custom MagicQ control surface

three TVP5146M2PFP video encoders, and three TVP5151PBSR video decoders.

I forgot all about the project I got these for! want to build a multi-channel videobending / glitching platform.

ten each of PI3PCIE3415ZHE and PI2SSD3212NCEX analog muxes. I believe these were also for that video project.

ten SSR027000I3CH crystal oscillators, and ten ABM2-14.31818MHZ-D4Y-T 14.31818MHz crystals.
I think these were also for the video project? that seems like a vaguely video-ish frequency.

six of these KF206-7.5-7P spring clamp terminal blocks.
pay attention to the dimensions here. these are LARGEBOIS. each port can fit a 10AWG wire.
I got these on a 90%-off offer, so they were just $0.29/pc. I am a fan of big chungus power electronics and will definitely find a use for them.

an ZLG ZY0JGB05D-15W AC-DC module. 5V/3A out.
pretty large for that amount of power delivery tbh, given how compact modern GaN stuff is. but again I got it at 90% off, so an absolute bargain.

two Heniper PA15G-220S12 and two Heniper PA20G-220S12, which are 15W and 20W respectively, AC/DC converters with 12V output.
no link 'cos they've since been discontinued at LCSC and the listings are gone.
same rough size as the 5V/3A one above. again got them extremely cheap.
being 12V out, these are pretty useful. much smaller than those cheap AliExpress supplies with similar power outputs.

three MAX11136ATI+ 8ch 12-bit 500kS/s SAR ADCs.
these are £5.34 ex.VAT from Mouser right now. I paid $0.56/pc!

@gsuberland Goddamn you really got those at a discount. Maxim chips are always hella expensive for what they do.

ten of these 2mΩ current sense resistors. they can handle 7W. if you do the maths, that's nearly 60A.
they're ±5% which is rather surprising. but pretty low thermal coefficient so that can be calibrated out.

ten each of SBB-M-1F-n-t5 and SBB-M-1J-n-t1.
again, big boi shunt resistors.
-

with all those fat shunt resistors you'd think I'd have bought some big power electronics parts too.
and you'd be correct.
exhibit A: an IXYS IXTQ170N10P MOSFET. it's 100V/170A and 9mΩ of Rds(on) @ 10V, in a hefty TO-3P-3 package.

also an ST STB200NF04T4, which is rated for 40V/120A and 3.7mΩ of Rds(on) @ Vgs=10V.
this isn't a super remarkable MOSFET aside from having very low Rds(on). I think I ordered it with the idea of maybe sending it to someone for decapping, because I was intrigued by "Single Feature Size strip-based process" in the datasheet? can't remember though.

@gsuberland The fact that those leads, whichever one happens to be the drain, can handle up to 120 amperes in that package is kind of mind-boggling.

a few* of these DMG7408SFG-7 30V/7A 23mΩ@10V N-ch FETs.
these are mostly notable for being quite small (3.2x3.2mm) given their high current rating. they're also reasonably fast (<11ns switch on + rise, <18ns switch off + fall).
I also just noticed they have a pretty low transconductance (11S typ) which makes them potentially interesting for linear operation (e.g. in a current balancing config) although the thermals would be a bit of a challenge in this package.

also a few IGBTs for good measure.
onsemi HGTG40N60B3 and FGH60N60SMD-F085. paid under $1 for each.
I mostly got these 'cos I don't do enough with IGBTs and thought that buying these might give me a reason to build a little IGBT driver.
as you can tell by the fact this box arrived in 2022 and I'm only just getting round to looking at what's in the box, it was a very effective strategy.

these are an interesting find.
onsemi NSV45060JDT4G 100mA / 45V LED drivers. they're basically chunkier versions of the classic TL431. I got ten of them for under $0.10/pc.
kinda wish I had bought more, these looks fun.

oh and apparently I bought a bunch of these 24x10x100mm heatsinks, which I vaguely recall thinking about thermal-epoxy'ing to a row of... something? I don't know which parts. probably the LED drivers.
