People are talking about how one third of Gen Z use PayPal as a checking account and I'm just here to tell you: do not do that

@FirstProgenitor Seconding this! PayPal is not a bank! They do not have to follow the same kinds of consumer & finance protection regulations that banks do!

PayPal CAN legally yoink all of your funds if they ban you from their platform, and they happily WILL and leave you completely SOL with not a cent to your name!

Banks and credit unions cannot legally do that. If a bank gives you the boot, they HAVE to liquidate your accounts and send you cheques if they don't suspect illegal activity.
